Wednesday 12th October
Breakfast in the kitchen area of the House of Prayer: I made us scrambled eggs on toast and Sara made the coffee. Giving thanks for all our blessings.
A short walk up the adjacent hill, finds you looking out over the Qu’Appelle valley and lakes.
A magnificent view across a beautiful valley, and at the top of the hill a cross, a cross to kneel before and give thanks, to be thankful for all that God is in our lives.
A fabulous way to finish our journey.
Reflection, prayer and quiet fellowship.
Three weeks across the most beautiful scenery and vista.
Canada has so many different facets, people and places, towns and countryside.
From Calgary to Regina, back to Maple Creek and across via Estevan, Whitewood and the Qu'Appelle Valley, back to Regina.
10am in to the Chapel for Eucharist: an Agape type service, offering thanks to the Creator Lord for all that is provided to us, a time of quiet prayer, focused prayers, a reading from Luke, where Jesus reminds us that 'woe to you' if you focus on yourself and all things self centred, remember then to look outside and offer the reflection of Christ in all we do, say and think. We then joined together and the shared the Eucharist prayer. We took bread and gave thanks.
The House of prayer offers a time of retreat across all denominations.
A space to really immerse yourself in Gods time and creation.
With holistic times of prayer, taize, chanting, unaccompanied singing, the whole place glorifies the Lord.
