Bunny Ears not always necessary!! Sorry Mike. (He said that was fine!!)
Next stop was the church of Immanuel, out at Whitmore Park, Regina. This amalgamated church is a group of five churches, St James, St Philip, All Saints, St Luke's, and St Matthew. They have come together to create one big church gathering. We were shown around the building and by Jessica, church secretary, and then sat and had a cup of tea with Diane Gingras, one of the wardens.
Ever onward we travelled back up to the North of Regina city, to St Mary's the Virgin and a meeting with Rev Claude Schroder, who's church is like a Tardis, we also met his lovely wife, Hilary.
They both look after a very diverse congregation, which includes members from Germany, Holland, South Sudan, Ethiopian Coptic's, multiple rooms on three floors offer a variety of services to the locality.
They engage the congregation on a diet of BCP, every service, which has helped them grow their membership over the last 23 years. Their youth groups range from 3 years to 15+ and they encounter 'Godly Play' and art activities.
In the basement they also rent out a space to a local catering company.
An evening meal followed and we thanked God for His Blessings.
