5th October 2022

Today, before heading back to the Canadian Highway #1, we were invited to a service of reflection with Rev Nancy at St Marys.

So having said our goodbyes to the Baths, we drove down into town.

Rev Nancy, led a quiet, contemplative service, with readings, music and silence. This congregation was reminded of God's love for us, and to always seek Him, no matter what we may think, God is the reason, the love and the light.

The service was built around readings from 'Come away my beloved' by Frances J Roberts. A Christian writer, she captures and creates images and thoughts to help us process our journey with God.

Rev Nancy, interspersed these thoughts with beautiful Christian music, and times of silence.

About 45 minutes of 'down time' to gather and explore our own hearts.

One piece of music 'Father I have sinned' had a recurring chorus:

'I forgive you

I love you

You are Mine,

Take my hand

Go in peace

Sin no more, beloved one.'

This piece of music gave such a sense of peace and forgiveness, no matter what you were holding on to.

Back on the road, #1, and our return trip to Regina, via Swift Current and Moose Jaw, for coffee stops at Tim Hortons and a chance to write up some blog backlog on free Wi-Fi.
