November 2022
As November rolls in we get time to reflect and remember, All Hallows, All Saints and All Souls.
An opportunity to remember those we have loved and entrusted to Gods care.
Family Friends and big names.
Lichfield cathedral have been busy preparing for the arrival of St Chads relic.
This week there was a service on the 7th 'Solemn Eucharist' where the new shrine, altar, aumbry and repository were blessed 😇
And then on the 8th they held a service to receive the relic from our brothers and sisters from Birmingham, St Chad, Roman Catholic Church.
Both services were moving and symbolic, offering us a further opportunity to remember our first Bishop of Lichfield, St Chad. His love, compassion and healing faith.
Our area Bishops and invited Archbishop of Jerusalem and Bishop Helen Kennedy of Qu'Appelle Diocese joined the many members of clergy and laity representing multiple churches and communities. Alongside the benefactors and organisations that enabled the development of the project.
